Aims
As an interdisciplinary network we serve researchers, lecturers, specialists, creatives and enthusiasts. We provide a forum for the exchange of ideas as well as support for individual projects. We also regularly collect and disseminate new findings and research results and keep developing our educational offer and other services.
What have we achieved, what are we aiming for?
Online presence
Our website was launched in autumn 2008 and is constantly evolving. The 2011 relaunch offers new opportunities and will help us to expand our offer.
Conferences / lectures / symposia / workshops
We have so far been involved in three conferences: Krefeld 2009, Potsdam 2010 and Zürich 2011, organised in collaboration with colleges and universities. We are planning to expand our this side of activities.
Publications
The first issue of our online series intelligente-verbindungen.de was devoted to our conference in March 2011 and we are also working on a series of print publications focusing on particular subjects.
Discussion groups, exhibition visits, study trips
Since 2009 we have been organising regional discussion groups, attended exhibitions together and have undertaken study trips with expert guides. This offer will also be extended.
Project groups
In 2009 we formed a working group for our website relaunch. Project groups for various online directories are in planning or about to be founded:
- bibliographies
- museums/collections
- diplomas and MA theses, dissertations
- scholarships
- reviews of books, conferences and exhibitions
Newsletter
The monthly newsletter, which has been emailed to our members since January 2010, will continue. We will increase our coverage of society related news as well as expanding the content and including images.
Future projects
- online discussion forums relating to topical themes and particular subjects
- inks with research projects
- cooperation with institutions and places of learning
